No sign of Rashers the pig this morning and he never misses breakfast at the back door! Corcern increased after he did not respond to his name so a search was mounted - I could hear squeaks but there was no confirmed sighting until.........a coal bag started moving across the garden! The poor little fecker had carried it into his pen (he has a habit of filling his bed with empty coal bags), crawled inside the bag itself and could not get out!! Boy was he hungry :)

Born at home at 9.30pm the 3rd Rooney girl made her apperance.

Named after her Grand Mothers - Maisie Lilly Rooney is just perfect in every little way and a credit to her mother who is the bravest person I know!

We got our Hens on Friday and Molly went nuts with excitment when she saw them!!

She won't stop chasing them around and when they hide in the bushes she sits for ages and waits till they come out again -of course she will never catch one!

We got 4 different breeds, 7 hens in total:
2 Brown Hens
2 Light Sussex
2 Rhode Island Reds
1 Frizzle

We have them one day and they are named - Hilda, Matilda, Shelly, Marley, Frizzle, Red and Anto!

Greetings Bloggers!!

Apologies for being away for so long – been busy, baby number 3 is on the way and due at Xmas please God!

In other news Lauren and Andrea got excellent results in their exams recently, Declan Liz and big brother Karl are all very proud – well done girls – they are hoping to visit soon to see Snowy and their cousins (‘stall the digger’)!!
Granny & Granda Behan came last week and had great craic with the girls – Betty needed a break after recent events in Spain – there is talk about Mike Tyson coming out of retirement for a challenge at her title!

I got my Defender stuck in the mud this week and when the local butcher came to my rescue his 4x4 got stuck as well – we had to get a local farmer to pull us both out with his tractor – what this picture does not show you is that by the time we were freed the tide was about ten feet away!!!

Anyway I’ll leave you all with some images from a more successful off roading trip up in Letterkeen woods with the dogs.

So sorry we have not posted anything in ages but we have been busy enjoying our first Christmas with two babies that we have had very little time for anything else!

Anyway here are a few pictures - we had Granny and Grandad Behan visit before Xmas and then we visited the Mulranny Rooney's on Xmas day, they pulled out all the stops - Mary and the twins laid on a great spread, uncle James provided the best of wines and John was the host with the most...est!

Molly loves the garden in this weather and her new best friend Snowy is always ready to play with her.

Mammy wraps both girls up and brings them out to the garden every day for loads of fresh air and play while Daddy is in work - there is no poit in posting any images of Bonnie Mae in the garden as all you can make out is a little red nose and two wet lips sticking out from her little star suit.

Its freezing down here in Newport but as Debbie says 'There is no such thing as bad weather just the wrong type of cloths'

God mother Aoife got a new kitten this week - 'Fletcher' (working title, may change) and brought him in to see Molly.

I thought it was cute how she could smile at Molly touching her while the kitten bit her hand at the same time!

The Boxers did not seem too bothered - in fact Botox looks quite bored with it all.

Molly and Bonnie had a visit from Aunty Cass and Uncle Ray yesterday!

We were all delighted to see them coming and Mammy's eyes lit up when she saw all the wonderful boutique bags she had with her.

Our Cass has good taste - there was a great deal of pink and even a pair of tights with built in leg warmers!!!

Hello All,

Cousins Lauren and Andrea ('stall the digger') have sent their boxer pup Snowy down to live with Botox, BiBi and Tara for a while!!

He was getting a little lonesome in Dublin as he had no other Doggie friends to play with and the twins started in a new school this week so they will be so busy with new friends, homework, Karate and other stuff that they won't have as much time as they want to play with Snowy so they thought it best to send him down here to live with his cousins.

They asked us if we would take him and of course we said yes 'cos he is such a nice dog and so well trained and looked after by the twins that he would be a pleasure to have live here and a great friend for Botox who is still only a baby himself!!!

When we introduced him to the other dogs they got on great and are the best of friends already!

This way the girls can come and visit him anytime they want and Snowy can play with Botox all day long and not be lonely.

We will put up lots of pictures of him for Andrea and Lauren to look at in Dublin - in the meantime here is a picture of when Molly saw him for the first time yesterday morning!!

'D' Day

Good evening Bloggers,

Sorry for not posting any updates in a while – its been very busy here in Acres but its all quite now!

Today is ‘D Day’ (the ‘D’ stands for Due) and we could not be more prepared, everything is in place – Debbie has been nesting for the past couple of weeks and there nothing left to do – all we need now is a baby!!!

So while we wait here are a few pictures taken over the past couple of weeks.

News wise Uncle John’s play - A Fig for a Kiss - was a rave success and we went out for Sunday lunch to them last week to celebrate.

Mark tried to cut his own hair and made a balls of it (it’s a really long story for another time)!

Molly has been feeding herself but never while Daddy is home!!

And while waiting for a new little brother or sister Molly has been hanging out with Tara.

A little Robin Red Breast got into our kitchen yesterday and caused a bit of a flap! Molly of course was delighted with the distraction and laughed away in her high chair as the Birdie flew around the kitchen trying to get out.

We let him out the kitchen window and he stopped outside on the fence to say thank you before flying away.

We all thought it was very cute until Debbie found some bird poo on the windowsill.

Today is Reek Sunday and I'm not allowed up the Mountain - I'm barred!!

On the last two occasions that I've climbed the Croagh Patrick I've come across a casualty so the Mayo Mountain Rescue Team (MMRT) some of whom I work with have banned me from going up and threatened to tie me to a lamp post in Westport.

I've called these lads out each time I climb our Holy mountain - its fun being involved in their rescues and carrying people off the mountain on a stretcher - I even considered joining the MMRT but thier training involves hanging out of helicopters and ab-sailing down cliffs - they can keep it!!

The Duffys came to visit last weekend.
They were on holidays in Westport but spent a day here in Acres hanging out with Molly and the dogs.
Cousin Niamh is such a pretty girl and showed baby Molly how to ‘Ta Ta’.
Cousin Laura is so grown up and look really well with a touch of make up and the best of gear on – she even drove uncle Mark’s jeep!!We hope to have pictures of their visit soon – we are just experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment!!

Molly is developing so fast, she has even gone out and got her own house (insisting that Daddy cough up the last of her Birthday money that he had ‘borrowed’ for groceries).
She did up her snag list last night and left me to fix the bits that she was not happy with well into the night.
We can’t wait to see if she is throwing a house warming party???

Botox is at that awkward age - you know what its like he wants to be independant and go out with his mates who are alway knocking for him.

This pair called to the front door yesterday asking if Botox could come out to play.

I don't like the look of the small scruffy one, I reckon he is trouble - I know their type - walking the streets of Newport hanging out on street corners peeing on lamp posts, chasing cars - well not our Botox he is a good boy and is not allowed out to play!!

MI6 has come to Newport and is on a mission in our back garden.

Okay he is a Turtle but he is called MI6 'cos he is on a secret mission!?!

He was compromised by Botox to discovered him hidden in the garden and attacked him leaving him with horrific injuries, he tore his shell off and pulled out his insides!!

But we managed to save him and bring him to a safe house where he recovered before going back into the field.

He is now undercover, deep deep undercover - I'm talking Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop undercover - deep deep deep undercover.

Enough said - I can't tell you any more at this stage (I could but then I would have to kill you all)!!

The Ninja twins have offered their services to protect MI6 and stop Botox falling in with the wrong crowd and they are a tough pair – I would not like to bump into them on a dark alleyway.

Never mind Kung Foo Panda watch out for Kung Foo Twins!!

This is worse than I thought - inside the mobile phone case was a little plastic mobile (harmless enough I hear you say) but inside that was make up!

So Molly's first pair of shoes comes with her make up set.

Is it just me or is that totally mad?? The child can't feed herself yet and they are giving away make up with baby shoes - for a 13 month old!!!!

What next free piercings and tattoos with each new pair??

I'm to old for this and I'm only starting out.

Molly went shopping with Mammy today and like a typical girl she came home with shoes (and not just one pair)!

But these shoes are special they are her first real pair of shoes - no more 'pre-walkers' these are the real deal and had to be measured and everything - FOR THE ATTENTION OF AUNTY JOAN (who has her own shoe shop) SHE IS A SIZE 4!!

But then she saw a pair of Lelli Kelly's - for any of you with children under the age of 10 these are a big deal and are constantly advertised on the Cartoon Network with the most annoying jingle. They even came with a Lelli Kelly mobile phone pouch - thats right a mobile phone case for a 13 month old!!!!!

Anyway one suited and booted Molly hit the hot spots of Castlebar - first up was Funster where she showed off to the doorman (staff with bright yellow tee-shirts that greet the kids), made bestest friends with a girl called Amy, like totally partied out and OMG she so like totally made a little boy cry by punching his lights out!

I dread to think what the next 18 years have in store for me :-)

Visit to Achill

We went to Keem Bay on Achill Island over the weekend.
Its our special place and we wanted to visit it with Molly before the 'Bump' arrives.
As always we got great weather and Molly had a ball, not because of the sea or the beach or the sand but because she saw a doggie on the beach and chased it for about an hour while making barking noises!!!

She only stopped to pick at the eye balls of a surfer dude who was buried up to his neck in sand by his surfer mates, the last thing he expected was for a baby to come alone and gouge at him!!!

OKAY stall the digger!!!

Cousins Lauren and Andrea pictured below at their first holy Communion a couple of weeks ago, have just sent me images of their Boxer pup SNOWEY!!!!

That must make him Botox's first cousin????

Molly hates wearing a hat!

Everytime I take her out to the garden she always pulls her hat off and feeds it to the dogs.

So Debbie was amazed this morning when Molly took one of her hats (thats too smal for her) and put it on her head refusing to take it off.

She then decided that she wanted to dance and sing (i.e. shout high pitched squeels and gurgles) around the kitchen floor in her nightdress showing off her new favorite hat and all before breakfast (or even a cup of tea for Mammy)!!

All this commotion woke Botox from his bed and he was fascinated to see this spectacle so early in the morning - even if it did wake him up.

Botox gets a belt

Hi guys,

Sorry I have not posted anything in a while but its been hard to find the time recently.

Anyway I'm back and here are a few pictures of Botox after he robbed my good leather belt from the kitchen - I tried to get it back but each time I went near him he took it in his mouth and ran around the garden laughing.

In the end it was not worth retrieving.

And a big shout out to Cousin Grace who attended the Trinity Ball Friday night, she did not leave at midnight, nor did she leave a glass slipper behind her, but maybe she did find a Prince Charming??

4D Scan

What you do for one you have to do for the other! We had a 4 D scan done on Molly so we got one done for the new bump this week - well we can't embarrass one on their 18th Birthday and not the other. Can you imagine coming home with your first boyfriend/girlfriend and me shouting Debbie get out the baby pictures...."now here was little Molly in her first shoes and here she was on the potty....oh yes here she was in the womb, Debbie have we that womb DVD lets put it on......" Can you imagine!

The weird thing is just how similar they look - the one below is Molly at 26 weeks and the one above is her new brother/sister at 26 weeks!!!

Before anyone asks no we don't know the sex we will all just have to wait and see.

Hi all,

We have lots of news to share since our last posting – we have had our first birthday, our first steps and now our first cold!
Molly was one year old last Thursday and went to Funster to celebrate, her Grandad Larry who had his birthday on the Friday came to visit with Granny Betty and we had a joint celebration!

Molly then took her first steps at the ripe old age of 366 days old.
I was in the kitchen with a visitor and put Molly down to stand, our visitor asked if she was walking yet to which I replied no and with that Molly started to walk and I don’t mean one or two steps but right across the kitchen floor. I called Debbie down from upstairs and Molly walked over to her!!

Aunty Mary and the twins baked her a carrot cake and Uncle John and Godmother Aoife called to see her with lovely presents and cards from all the gang – even Grandad Larry got cards and some homemade brown bread to cheer him up after ManU’s defeat.

There were some really super cards like the one Uncle John the computer guru did up for her and another one pictured below that aunty Cass got made up by a very talented woman called Bernie. Bernie and Brian are originally from Ballyhaunis and Castlebar here in County Mayo but moved to Dublin way back in 1980, Bernie has such artistic talent and makes wonderful personalised cards. If anyone wants to contact her just drop me a line.

Then after such a busy weekend poor Molly got a bit of a cold and is feeling very sorry for herself, she is all bunged up and has a very runny nose.

Our Blog is also a year old now and we have had 3000 hits over the past 12 months – I wonder will we still be going strong this time next year when Molly is 2 and has a nine month old brother or sister – probably won’t have the time!!
